About Together Money Catamaran Finance
Together Money occupies the flexible, non-prime end of the catamaran finance spectrum. Where other lenders apply rigid criteria on credit history, income type, or vessel profile, Together's underwriting team takes a case-by-case view that weighs the whole picture. For buyers who have experienced financial difficulty in the past - a CCJ that has been satisfied, a period of missed payments during a difficult period, or an income structure that mainstream scorecards cannot process - Together may be the route to catamaran ownership where other lenders have said no.
The cost of this flexibility is rate: at 7.5%–12% APR, Together is the most expensive lender across our catamaran panel for a given loan profile. Combined with a 70% LTV cap and a 10-year maximum term, the monthly payment profile is higher than most alternatives. This is a deliberate reflection of the credit risk Together accepts, and for many borrowers in genuinely complex situations it represents fair pricing for access to finance that simply is not available elsewhere.
Catamaran-specific flexibility at Together extends to vessel age and condition. Older multihulls, recently refitted catamarans, or vessels with a colourful ownership history are assessed with more tolerance than at prime lenders. Foreign-flagged catamarans are also considered where security can be adequately established. Together's underwriters are comfortable with the nuances of maritime law and understand that the catamaran market regularly involves French-flagged vessels, offshore charter structures, and non-standard documentation trails.
Doulton Bridging Finance uses Together selectively - for cases where the applicant's circumstances fall outside the prime-lender panel, and where the cost-benefit of accessing finance outweighs the higher rate. We always ensure clients understand the full cost comparison before proceeding.
