Batching Plant Finance: Key Considerations
Concrete batching plants are treated differently from mobile equipment by most lenders. Key points:
- Fixed and semi-fixed installations may require planning confirmation and site ownership or lease evidence
- Lenders prefer Finance Lease for batching plants over HP, as ownership transfer on assets fixed to land is complex
- Longer finance terms (5–10 years) are more common than for mobile equipment
- Specialist lenders including Lombard and Siemens Financial are the primary route for plant above £200,000
- Residual value at end of term is harder to establish than for mobile concrete pumps
