The Challenge
A national distribution company with 45 HGVs had won a major retail distribution contract requiring twelve additional curtainsider trailers and eight additional tractor units. The contract start date was ten weeks away. Acquiring and financing twenty vehicles within ten weeks required a funder with fleet appetite and speed.
Our Solution
Doulton structured a fleet finance lease for all twenty vehicles with a single funder, co-ordinating delivery schedules across three dealers. A single lease agreement covered the entire fleet addition, with a single monthly payment and aligned review dates. The retail distribution contract provided the lending justification.
The Outcome
All twenty vehicles delivered and operational before the contract start date. Contract commenced on schedule. The distribution company subsequently added a further six vehicles to the same facility when the contract expanded in month four. Key highlights: 20-vehicle fleet financed under single facility - one payment, one; All vehicles delivered before contract start - 10-week programme met; Facility expanded by 6 further vehicles when contract grew in month 4.
