Pre-Auction Approval
Arrange finance before the auction sale. We issue a pre-approved facility up to an agreed maximum amount, giving you the confidence to bid knowing exactly where your limit is.

Private Treaty Auction Finance
Finance for private treaty sales conducted through auction houses, and informal private auction sales between collectors. The same specialist finance is available regardless of whether the sale is public auction or private treaty.
How it works
Pre-auction briefing
Tell us what you are considering bidding on and your maximum budget. We assess the likely advance rate for the specific vehicle type and arrange your pre-approval.
Pre-approval issued
A pre-approved facility up to your maximum is confirmed. You attend the auction knowing your borrowing limit.
You win the lot
You win the vehicle. The auction house issues the invoice. We receive the invoice and settle it within the auction house's payment window - typically 24-48 hours.
Finance live
The car is yours. Finance runs from settlement date.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can auction finance be settled?
We settle most auction purchases within 24 hours of receiving the invoice from the auction house. For complex or higher-value transactions, 48 hours is the typical maximum. We advise the auction house of our timeline before the sale.
Can I get auction finance without pre-arrangement?
Post-auction finance (arranged after you have won a lot) is possible in some cases, but it is significantly more stressful and slower. Pre-arranged auction finance is always the better approach - and costs no more.
What if I am outbid and don't win anything?
A pre-approved facility costs nothing unless it is drawn. If you don't win the lot, the approval simply lapses. There is no cost to arranging auction finance that you don't use.
Can I use auction finance for a car I am bidding on at auction but suspect is private treaty?
Yes - private treaty sales through auction houses are treated the same as auction purchases for finance purposes. The auction house's payment terms apply.
Are all auction houses familiar with specialist finance settlement?
All major UK classic and supercar auction houses are familiar with specialist finance settlement. We have direct relationships with Silverstone, H&H, RM Sotheby's, and others - their finance teams know how to handle settlement from a specialist broker.
